I may be 34 weeks pregnant and I may be using that as an excuse to polish off the chocolate cake left on my kitchen counter.
Thanks to some lovely ladies at my church, I had a baby “sprinkle” last week with some of my close girlfriends and church ladies. One of the hostesses, Becca, made a super yummy chocolate cake. BTW, “super yummy” doesn’t do this cake justice. No, this isn’t the pregnancy talking. This is seriously the most amazing chocolate cake I’ve ever had. Several other attendees agreed with my sentiments.
The unfortunate, yet fortunate, thing was that there were many slices left over and, of course, they got sent home with me. And I might have gotten up in the middle of the night 2 nights ago and had a slice with a glass of milk at like 4am.
I have 2 slices left and I’m certain they will be polished off today. I’ll spare you the gory details of exactly how many slices I’ve consumed in the past 5 days.
If you’re interested in the recipe you can find it here!!! Now I just need an excuse to make this cake myself. I mean, The Husband doesn’t like sweets but maybe President’s Day is reason enough to celebrate. You think?
Until next time Mommas 🙂
